Learning with and from one another to unlock the power of Intergenerational Practice
Course content
Learners will enjoy a fully immersive week as part of a small group, at Apples and Honey Nightingale Nursery and Nightingale House Care Home.
Residential or non-residential options to participate in 4 consecutive days of IG experiences and lectures including evening activities. For the residential option learners will be offered full board within the Care Home.
During the evenings there will be opportunities for all participants to enjoy activities together.
By the end of the week learners will have experienced all elements of the teaching needed to gain the NCFE accredited Certificate in Intergenerational Care and Education and 15 hours of accredited CPD
Learning outcomes:
LO1. Understand the different definitions and principles of intergenerational (IG) work
LO2. Understand the varying needs of all participants of intergenerational programmes
LO3. Understand key benefits and challenges of intergenerational work for all ages involved
LO4. Design an intergenerational (IG) activity that is purposeful, mutual and reciprocal
LO5. Observe and evaluate an intergenerational programme

English Proficiency: B1 (To achieve Certificate in Intergenerational Care and Education English level B2 is required)
