In the modern health sector, a highly intergenerational workforce is a strategic asset. This training utilises the 5-Lens Framework - Language, Equity, Performance, Relational, and Society, to move beyond generational stereotypes and examine ageism as a barrier to clinical excellence. The five lenses of the framework are designed to be circular and mutually reinforcing, where efforts in one area directly support and enable the success of the others, creating a sustained, positive organisational culture.
Specifically designed for the NHS context, where up to five generations work side by side, this programme focuses on the critical need to retain a workforce that is ageing faster than it is growing. We bridge the generational gap through 'Safety Synergy': a model that combines the cutting-edge knowledge of early-career staff with the stable, seasoned expertise of late-career professionals to optimise clinical performance.
By the end of this training, clinical educators will be equipped to identify the building blocks of a thriving, intergenerational environment where no expertise is wasted, and no talent is overlooked.
